Global Gardens

In doing research for a list of stunning gardens all over the world, I discovered 23 of the most beautiful garden landscapes. Some of these gardens made the UNESCO list of the World Heritage Sites!

Instead of just articles with lovely photos, I visited a site where the authors actually visited the gardens. Sand in my Suitcase, by Janice and George lend their personal perspective on each of the 23 global gardens with tips and website links. Each garden site with its unique history and design tells a story that goes back in time.

Number 23 stood out to me with over 8500 different plants from all over the world. Established in 1846, the history and the variety of landscapes wows visitors year-round. To find out where number 23 is located click this link.

Maybe you are not a traveler or if you are, it is possible you will never visit all these garden locations. I encourage you to take in the beauty, glean some inspiration, and share this experience with someone you know who loves gardens as much as I do. Oh, you love them too?

There are more than 23 beautiful gardens in the world; one could be your front or back yard. You may know someone who continually gets ‘Yard of the Month.’ Don’t be jealous, take notes, talk to them, and get your hands dirty in the dirt!

Research proves those who garden grow. As plants grow in good soil with water and sunshine, so do you and I. The digging, planting, watching, waiting, picking, and eating are natural realities of godly growth in our lives. It is a process that over time yields good fruit that smells good, tastes good, and is good for sharing.

So today, love someone by sharing this blog and looking for someone to dig in the dirt with.

Until next time, remember, the heart of the matter is the matter of the heart.
